UniConverter

The application is very easy to download from the website in both windows and iOS Mac formats.

Once downloaded the user is shown an easy to use uncluttered interface. From the initial outset the software does look rather complicated but with the support of the User Guides (top right) and the on-line video guides it can soon be mastered.

Video converter packages can sometimes be incredibly complicated to use and often are let down by the number of options, features or formats available. ‘Uniconverter’ by Wondershare does not disappoint.

The ‘Home’ Dashboard displays five easy to read icons at the top. These are: Convert, Download, Burn, Transfer and Toolbox.

Convert:

Simply drag the files into the main window that you want to convert. Once imported the user interface splits into two areas. The Left hand-side display the original imported video. Here we can crop, edit, trim or add effects to the video. All of these features are very easy to use with the effects menu allowing the user to use a large array of features such as brightness, colour, saturation along with some enhancing features including 70’s, Retro, Holiday and more. Watermarks, audio and sub-titles can also be added within this menu.

The right-hand side of the dashboard displays the various output formats the video can be saved in. The options here are simply amazing from MP4 to AVI to MOV to WMV. This is where the application comes into its own as a video conversion tool.

We also liked the fact that the details of the videos imported and converted can be seen such as the file size, pixel size, time and original format. With all this information displayed there is very little that can go wrong.

Download:

Here the software allows you to download videos form the web by pasting in the URL. The video can then be edited and converted using the application. There is also an option to record the screen.

Burn:

Burning files of ant format to a CD couldn’t be easier with this section of the dashboard.This could include DVD’s as well as CD’s.

Transfer:

Transferring files from a mobile device can be difficult especially with file size restrictions and connection difficulties. Uniconverter works with iOS and Android devices seamlessly.

Tool Box:

An excellent menu addition to the software. Here we find 9 additional tools that allow you to:

Image convert, GIF Maker, Screen Recorder, Fix Media, Metadata, Video Compress. Cast to TV, VR Converter, CD Burner and CD Ripper.

We noted that the conversion rates of the software were very good. There is excellent customer support embedded with the software or via their website, there is even a chat feature for immediate problems.

The saying ‘you pay for what you get’ really applies to this software. Although it is not the cheapest video converter on the market it does everything and more! The software provides the user with a simple, easy to navigate UI experience.
