Keeping our Kids Cybersafe in the Digital World
I love the internet. I love to communicate with it, on it, via it. I love to play games on it, create, have fun, watch TV and films, problem solve…and……well I could go on…. BUT sometimes, just like in reality, things can go wrong.
The good news is that there is help out there if you need it. If your are thinking ‘Yeah, but where?’
Well, that’s what I’m here to help you find. My blog is supposed to be a Click Tip Stop of information, facts and advice to help you – the reader – whether you are a parent, carer, teacher, leader or even a young person. (The very people we adults want to protect and support if you ever have to deal with cyber bullying.)
I work with children and young people every day as a parent, as a teacher and in other roles I’ll talk about another time. In the meantime today’s Click Tip is the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) run by a dedicated team of people from the Police, Social Services and Education.
I use this excellent site in school, as do thousands of other teachers. I sign post parents and carers to it. http://www.ceop.police.uk/safety-centre/
