Best Halloween Apps

So of course Halloween has crept up on us seemingly faster than ever before. If you’re looking after little monsters this year, many of these apps are also great for kids, and should avoid any nightmares, meaning you’re less likely to be awoken by terrifying screams in the middle of the night! And even though the kids are pumped as it is, there are some adorable Halloween apps to keep that excitement going, even after trick or treating has ended. We’re here to help you get ready for the most terrifying Halloween ever with our pick of the best spooky apps and ghoulish games.

Here are some of the best Halloween apps to help you get your spook on!

Pumpkin 3D

( iPhone, iPad )

This is a great app if you don’t have the space or time to carve out a proper pumpkin, or if you just want to test your artistic skills before committing your ideas to life.  Pumpkin 3D is a pleasing holiday diversion, which allows you to carve a pumpkin and decorate a scene with fun items. When you’re finished with your spooky creation, take a snapshot and share with your friends and family. This app is cool, and provides that safe and mess-free way to make jack-o-lanterns with the whole family. You can pick from a variety of eyes, mouths, and noses, and easily share your creation with friends.

Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown

( Android, iPhone, iPad )

For 50 years, Charlie Brown has been synonymous with Halloween. In 1966, the cartoon classic aired for the first time on television, and today it's loved by all generations. Loud Crow has turned the tale of the Great Pumpkin rising out of the pumpkin patch on Halloween night into an interactive book, complete with costume cutouts and a pumpkin carving session. When you tap on some illustrations on each page, they will come to life and animate. Whether you're reliving your childhood memories or starting new ones with your own children, you'll love reading and interacting with this Peanuts classic.

We always enjoy It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown, so this is definitely one of the best Halloween apps out there that you must get.

Hey Duggee: The Spooky Badge

( Android, iPhone, iPad )

Halloween Soundboard is exactly what the name implies. It’s a collection of spooky sound effects. It includes classics like scary laughs, blood dripping, bats, dogs, and all kinds of other stuff. This is a great idea for homemade haunted houses for those who build them. Simply connect a Bluetooth speaker and hide it among your decorations and hit the button at the appropriate time to scare the pants off of someone. Technology is great, isn’t it?
