Yabla requires you to select one of its language programmes when you sign up. There are alternatives for Chinese, French, German, Italian, and Spanish speakers in addition to English. Six languages isn't a large selection—of five if you already speak English. At least some of the most sought-after languages for English speakers to learn and practise are covered.

Is Yabla easy to use?

Since a large portion of the material in the intermediate and advanced levels is taken from real television programmes, music videos, and advertisements, the performers speak at a conversational speed. Videos for beginners are structured to be spoken more slowly and clearly, which is suitable for beginning students. Beginner-level content also doesn't use a lot of idioms or extremely poetic language. Yabla is available to download on all Android and IOS devices.

How will students benefit?

All the terms you clicked to view their definitions in dictionaries while watching videos are included in the Flashcards section. Students have the option to turn off the feature that generates these cards when they click on words. Your saved vocabulary eventually appears on flashcards that you can practise at your own speed. You see one of your words written in a foreign language, along with two buttons that let you say whether you understand it or not. You self-evaluate your accuracy after revealing the word. You can even see the line where you first noticed the term, along with a brief synopsis of the film.

It aids with word recall and context analysis, allowing you to judge the accuracy of the translation by first determining whether the word is used in its proper context. Sometimes it isn't, or you have to sift through several interpretations to locate it.

How will teachers benefit?

Yabla includes text in its Lessons section. Idioms were a big part of the Spanish lessons, which once again demonstrates how fantastic Yabla is for advanced speakers who are prepared to tackle these more difficult subjects. Lessons also provide you with the option to bookmark videos that are pertinent to the lesson so you may watch them later.

How will parents benefit?

If you want to learn offline, Yabla's videos are ideal because many of them can be downloaded. When you click the download button, you won't know exactly what you may download because that depends on the video. Sometimes an MP4 file with no description is the sole choice. A video file having Spanish and English transcriptions is one example of a file that occasionally has descriptions of other files.
