What is Scrabble Go?

The Scrabble-like multiplayer game invites two players to use letter tiles, each assigned a point value, to spell words on a board. After someone takes their turn, the game pings their friend to send a word back. You likely recall Words With Friends, which was hugely popular throughout the 2010s.

The concept is classic and easy to pick up: Ask a friend if they’d like to play a game, then take turns playing a word on the board. Scrabble Go also offers more intense modes of play, including ones that allow for advanced moves like swapping tiles with your competitor.

You can track your stats in the Scrabble Score. The stats will depend on the modes you play the most, your highest scoring words, and your speed. Overall, Scrabble® GO - New Word Game offers the same features of the board game. 

You can’t host a game night without at least one word game. Your best choice – Scrabble Go, a mobile game version of the classic crossword board game you know and love. The game lets you easily create online sessions with your friends and family, with a feature that lets you invite them through Facebook.  The board game Scrabble has been around for longer than most of us, and is now available to play on your phone. It just like the board game but you won’t be scrambling to try and get the pieces into place.

You can play remotely with friends by adding them through your phone or syncing the app with your Facebook or Whatsapp account. For those that have played the physical board game, you will notice the app’s interface uses the original layout of Scrabble®. You can start a game by selecting one of four game modes: Classic, Modern, Arena, and Duels.

Download Scrabble Go if you are happy to pay for it and prefer a basic version against the computer. If you want a free, mobile version, check out the App Store on iPhone or Play Store on Android.

Is Scrabble Go good?

What makes Scrabble Go a great spelling game is that the word will only work and fit in the tiles when it is spelled correctly. Additionally, you have to think of words that you can spell with the tiles you’ve been given, as well as the tiles that are on the board.

Scrabble Go has been a family-favorite game for a long time. The app also contains other types of timed games and multiplayer activities.
