Qwert - Multiplayer Word Game

About Qwert - Multiplayer Word Game
QWERT is a really fun word play game where users are challenged to use their knowledge of words and the English language to score as many points as they can in a time limited manner.
The app aims to bring fun to word play games and to help users to extend their vocabulary as they challenge others and themselves to beat their high scores. With two types of games users can either play against friends or random opponents in a 1on1 war of words or try to beat their high scores. The games give certain letters that the user must either start and end with or find words that contain certain letters, then within a time limit they must find as many words that fit these parameters.
Both of the games are very addictive to play and the sense of achievement of finding a long word that meets the requirements is amazing however, the terror of watching the clock tick down whilst your mind goes blank is incredibly real!!
The game is great for anyone who wants to improve their vocabulary but it’s also just a great fun game for anyone who loves word play games and wants a bit of a challenge too. The two different types of gameplay also work really well so you can challenge someone else or just play as a solo game.
The whole design of the game is very well thought out too with a clever theme and artwork making the game desirable to play on and not a distraction. The gameplay itself is also excellent, very simple to access with enough support to explain how to play the game, if needed and a simple menu system that allows the user to focus fully on playing rather than trying to navigate to where they want to get to.
Qwert - Multiplayer Word Game Review
What is QWERT app?
QWERT is a wordplay app that pits the user against themselves or against others and challenges them, within in a time limit, to think of as many words that meet the given requirements as possible. Points are awarded for the amount of letters in a word, so the longer the word the more points given.
The app is great for anyone who loves word games but if you’re interested in challenging yourself to improve upon your vocab the game certainly provides that aspect too.
What we love about Qwert
There are a number of really good things about the app, in fact it’s difficult to not like everything about it. The developers have clearly thought long and hard and have developed a app that matches exactly what they want to achieve. The design of the app is fantastic but for me it’s the simplicity of the idea and the execution of this that makes it a very successful and fun game to play.
What skills does it improve?
Qwert aims to improve the users vocab skills by challenging them to think of words that meet the requirements given. By giving parameters of the word the user needs to think quickly and smartly to write as many of these words as possible in the time limit given. The time limit means that users must think as quickly as possible if they want to score the maximum points possible.
What age is it appropriate for?
QWERT app is probably best pitched at older users as they already need to have the ability to read and a certain amount of vocab knowledge to start with. I would suggest upwards of around 11 years old into adulthood.
Is QWERT easy to use?
For the user the app is incredibly easy to use and access.
How will students benefit?
Children will benefit from the app by challenging themselves and others in the wordplay games and extending their vocab abilities.
How will teachers benefit?
Although the app is aimed at the older age range teachers could benefit from knowing that students are accessing a game that is going to increase their vocabulary skills which in turn will help them in their schoolwork, even if the student isn’t accessing it for those reasons.
How will parents benefit?
For parents the app benefits the same as for the child and educators. It allows them to know that their child is playing a game that is going to improve certain aspects of their written and spoken work.
What QWERT can improve on?
This is really difficult as I can’t see anything that the developer hasn’t already thought of to make this an effective game. The only thing would be for the developers to create more of these apps!
