What is Moshi app?

Moshi has more than 85 hours of high-quality soothing stories, music, meditative exercises, and sounds. Their purpose is to soothe children. Many of them are most appropriate for bedtime, but there are plenty more to introduce kids to the mental health benefits of mindfulness or help calm them during stressful situations. More are added weekly.

Recognising that late-night use of screens is not conducive to good sleep, Moshi places a heavy emphasis on its sound, and kids do not need to view the screen when listening to the content.

Benefits for Students

Kids might not always welcome bedtime, but they don't deal well with tiredness. Moshi helps by adding routine and focus to bedtimes and by aiding sleep, lets kids be fresh and lively the following day.

Benefits for Teachers

Bedtime is, thankfully, not a time of day that teachers need to take responsibility for their students, but Moshi is still seriously worth considering for classroom use. Five minutes of listening to one of the options under the 'calm down' category might soothe a class returning from raucous activity. Individual kids who have become emotional might begin to calm when listening to a Moshi meditation.

Benefits for Parents

Those kids who hate bedtime are not immune to the crankiness of not getting enough rest. Anything that helps kids get enough sleep will be a boon for parents. Well-slept kids learn better at school and are generally more pleasant company!

Many of the testimonials from parents suggest that it isn't only kids who find Moshi a pleasant prompt to slumber. It is easy to see why it works for adults too. The undemanding nature of the stories and the soothing sounds merge into an irresistible aid to sleep.

Our reviewer's recommendation

Moshi is a new way for your children to enjoy their bedtime story and fall asleep with the help of adorable Moshi monsters. There are other bedtime story apps, but Moshi's huge amount of content, produced with such care, places it high in the ranks. The yearly subscription is good value when you think of how that breaks down into a weekly amount. Bedtimes might never be the same again after getting Moshi - they might be much better!
