It uses the AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) principles which support children with autism to communicate easily as well as other special educational needs such as: Down Syndrome, Aphasia, Speech Apraxia, ALS, MDN, Cerebral Pally, Angelman Syndrome and Asperger's Syndrome.

As you will see later in the review the app has three levels of purchases to access the content for different periods of time. It is aimed at children from 6 - 8 years old. It works on iOS 11.0 or later, macOS 11.0 or later as well as i-pad and i-pad touch 11.0 or later.

The library is very detailed, can be used offline, and offers such a wide range of choice, users will be able to communicate at any time or place, giving them the confidence to express themselves in a new and personalised way.

The developer has a clear privacy policy and there are no in app advertisements. It does not ask for location settings or has social media links. Parents can be reassured their children are only accessing the relevant content of the app.

Leeloo AAC App - Assistive Cards app is a very comprehensive app but it might be difficult for a young child to navigate the app and use it to its full potential due to their level of understanding. Perhaps a consideration of offering a simpler version would be helpful.
