Endless Numbers Review
Endless Numbers is a numeracy learning app from award-winning entertaining educational app developer, Originator. The creators of Endless Alphabet and Endless Reader turn their talents to the realm of numbers. This app sneakily teaches so many different math concepts (counting by ones, twos, threes; addition; place value, etc.) and yet it's simple enough for a preschooler to navigate without problems. Each number features a short, humorous animation to illustrate the quantity, which kids will want to watch over and over. The free version gives users access to numbers 1-5 and then in-app purchases give you the opportunity to expand all the way to 100.
Set up like a carnival, Endless Numbers allows children to spin a ferris wheel to select a number. Numbers 1-25 are shown as carriages on a ferris wheel menu. Once selected the number is introduced by an animation requiring the child to drag it into place and then ‘touch the eye to wake it up.’ A 2nd animation reinforces the concept of quantity, counting and simple equation puzzles introducing addition.
Each number in Endless Numbers is given life-like features, sporting eyes that signify the number of tens and the number of ones that make up the number, and children are prompted to tap each number if double digit, to watch what it’s made up of.
Kids will have a blast learning number recognition, sequences, quantity, numerical patterns, and simple addition with the adorable Endless monsters. Each number features interactive sequences and equation puzzles with numbers that come alive, and a short animation that provides context and meaning to each number.
A lovely game to help children recognise numbers and learn basic counting. It’s clear that Endless Numbers app developers have put a lot of work into the interactive sequences, equation puzzles and animated numbers, all of which provide enriching context and meaning for burgeoning mathematicians. Endless Numbers is safe for kids and well worth the price.
