    Math Facts Mahjong brings together the game of Mahjong Solitaire and maths practice. Together, these components form a surprisingly fun and effective way to develop arithmetic skills.

    Versatile is one word to describe the ABCya learning games included in this app.  They work  across every mainstream device, they cover multiple educational topics, and deliver a broad range of game styles to test and develop children's learning.  Excellent would be another word.

    Space Pig Math is an action game for practicing the times tables - up to 12x12 - with retro-inspired visuals and sounds.  The purpose of the game is to laser the aliens to save Space Pig's Friends - and they will provide you with help on the progress through the game. The game rewards correct, consecutive, and quick answers.  It is easy and accessible for the novice, but it can become increasingly difficult.

    Funexpected Math is an attractive app that uses mini-games to develop and consolidate children's maths skills.  Its detailed descriptions of curriculum objectives met, imaginative games, and growing content make it an app subscription worth considering.

    Fishy Numbers is a colourful application that is suitable for ages 6 and above and enables children to explore and practice maths in a fun and exciting way. This application features a number of differentiated levels and mathematical mini-games focusing on adding, subtraction, multiplication and division. This app is free from in-app purchases and in-app adverts.

    Little Digits is a fun way to learn to count using a multitouch interactive approach. Little Digits is a great application that you can use with your child to help improve their number recognition and number fluency skills. A really fun and engaging app, that requires your child to place the correct amount of digits on the numeral animation. All of the numbers are represented as fun and colorful creatures that your child will love. The app is easy to follow with three modes of game play and an easy to follow tutorial. The multi touch technology allows your child to place the correct amount of fingers on the screen when solving simple number problems. A really nice feature is the ability to record your own voice for each number, a particular favourite with my own 4 year old. Probably the best thing about Little Digits is how fun and simplistic it is, the app allows for development of natural curiosity and hours of fun are guaranteed.

    Prodigy is a free, curriculum-aligned, fantasy-based math game used by more than a million teachers, three million parents, and 50 million students around the world. It offers content from every major math topic and covers 1,300+ skills from 1st to 8th grade, as well as DoK levels one to three!

    Five Little Monkeys is a fun, interactive musical counting game based on a popular rhyme. As the little monkeys jump on the bed, children can develop counting and maths skills. There are also a number of interactive objects that introduce children to concepts like stop/go, open/close and on/off, as well as other features to motivate children to interact with the app.

    Kids Numbers and Math is a bright app which allows children to practise a range of skills including counting, adding, subtracting and identifying the larger and smaller number out of a pair. There is also a game where children memorise numbers to form matching pairs. The app is easy to use and has illustrations that support learning.

    Numbers for Ducklings is a fun, simple to use app. It can help children learn the numbers from 1- 10, recognise how they are written and place them in order.  The app has a clear and attractive design, that will appeal to children and encourage them to keep returning and learning.
