    Popcornflix Kids is a free movie app that lets you watch free movies away from your computer. A few featured movies scroll across the main page, and you can browse through movies by genre. There's also an area of the app just for new arrivals, the most popular movies at Popcornflix Kids, and Popcornflix originals. You can also add movies to a queue to gather them in one place, even without logging into an account. Movie streaming through Popcornflix works on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Android, Amazon Kindle, BlackBerry, Roku, Apple TV, Xbox, and Samsung TV.

    Nickelodeon Play is a colourful app designed to keep kids be creative, engaged and also allows them to interact with various different functions and activities. Little ones can hang out with their favourite Nick characters such as Dora the Explorer, Shimmer and Shine and SpongeBob SquarePants on the app's various shows, videos and games. The Nickelodeon Play app is available to download on the App Store and on Google Play.

    Boomerang is a streaming service that offers a catalog of more than 5,000 cartoons, is officially live. Subscribers can pay $5 a month to stream classic and current cartoons, including your childhood favorites like Looney Tunes, Scooby-Doo, Bugs Bunny, Tom and Jerry, and more. Boomerang is available to US customers on desktop, Android, and iOS — support for streaming devices like the Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Roku, and Chromecast are upcoming.

    The PBS Kids Video app promises to extend PBS' mission to deliver curriculum-based entertainment across all platforms. The app also was designed so kids could stay current on various PBS children's shows. This is useful, since some of the programs have running storylines, and others have sequential educational components where seeing episodes in order is required.
