Battle Games for Kids

Battle Games are good for building strategic and quick thinking. In moderation they're good for the brain. We are selective about what we play in our family... especially with the children, and these battle games are ones we've approved.

Bloons TD 5 is a tower defense style strategy game that adds a comedic absurd layer to the well-known formula. This is a well loved fast action child friendly Tower Defence game with upgrades, power ups, special agents and thousands of balloons for enemies.

Kingdom Rush Frontiers is an excellent tower defense game that requires a lot of skill and a child, an adult, must work hard to understand the intricacies of the game.

    Devices: iPhone, iPad

Art of War is an entertaining and fun game with a huge amount of spectacular battles. You will be the commander who leads legions of tiny armies. Art of War: Legions is a simple and quick-to-play real time strategy game where you are pit against armies of different shapes and sizes. Set up your own army to tackle the enemy, but do it strategically because you cannot control your troops during combat!

    Devices: iPhone, iPad

Angry Birds is a fun, addictive puzzle game based on destruction and revenge (the birds want to get back at the pigs for stealing their eggs). In Angry Birds, the player is given a limited number of birds which are used as projectiles. The players slingshot the birds in an attempt to hit pigs that are protected by structures.

    Devices: Android, iPhone, iPad

Lego Star Wars Battles is a card strategy-slash-tower defense game hybrid. You build Lego towers to defend your base against enemy forces and hold out for as long as you can under a time limit, all while aiming to destroy your opponent’s base at the same time. While it’s awesome fun to be able to use characters, droids, and ships from all eras of the Star Wars universe, you don’t really have control over which side you can play as. Picking the Light or the Dark side is random, at least, for this beta version.
