Bookful provides a library full of enhanced kids books. The books cover many and varied subjects, and their illustrations have been enhanced with animated 3D graphics. Augmented Reality adds an extra layer of interest to the books, which are suitable for early readers through to those aged around nine.
At the time of this review of Bookful, it is available on iOS and Android devices, but the developers promise a web-based version soon. Following a free, content-limited download, a subscription unlocks the whole library.

You unlock the entirety of Bookful's library by taking out a subscription. All of these are excellent value compared to how much it would cost to purchase the physical copies of the books. You can choose which subscription length to go for, with longer durations providing the best value.
Is it good for learning?
Bookful includes factual books about subjects such as science and history, numbers for numeracy learning, and stories with moral and social aspects for building personal skills.
Then there are games for spelling practice and the ability to record themselves reading a book to help kids check their pronunciation and fluency. Quizzes for comprehension check that kids are extracting the meaning from the words they read.
And, of course, reading is great practice for, well, reading. The more kids read, the quicker their reading skills develop and the sooner they can access resources to help them learn across the school subjects.
