ABCMouse.com is designed to provide a structured, rewards and play-based environment for learning basic skills in reading, math, science, music, art, social studies, health, and more. ABCmouse uses games and activities of increasing difficulty to build a rewards-based curriculum.
ABCmouse's curriculum consists of ten difficulty levels designed for preschool-aged children (3+) through second-graders (8+). Each level features around 850 age-appropriate educational activities.
Cost
ABCmouse is free to download on the App Store for iOS and Google Play Store for Android. After a free trial, you have a choice of subscriptions. One subscription covers three kids and one parent.

Cons
The learning activities are well presented, great fun and differentiated for users. Sometimes, the content within the app seemed overwhelming, and we often lost sight of what section the child was in, what they were learning and how they were progressing.
However, progress seemed more defined if the child stuck to the 'Learning Path'.
We found the 'Progress tracker' within the 'Settings' section valuable. It displays children's progress, including lessons, dates, tickets, subject progress, number of activities, etc. We felt valuable information like this should not be hidden within the 'Settings' section but accessed via the 'Home' dashboard for both parent and child to view.
Benefits for Students
There are over 10,000 learning activities in the form of books, kids' videos to stream, printables, games, songs, puzzles, art activities and more.
The app recognises progress and success with rewards. Students receive a certificate once they've completed the lessons. ABC Mouse awards tickets every time kids complete an activity. They can use them to purchase virtual items for their avatar, room, aquarium, shopping area, etc. This not only creates motivation for the child but also develops a fun, exciting learning environment.
The application recommends that your child completes at least one assignment every time they use ABCmouse. Each learning experience uses previous experience the child has used to reinforce prior learning.
Young kids still developing their literacy skills can access the games and learn as the app narrates the content.
Benefits for Teachers
Teachers have different tools available to ease the administration of their kids' use of ABC Mouse. They can put children into groups and guide their learning. While ABC Mouse does generate learning pathways for kids, the Playlists feature lets teachers use their experience and knowledge to customise kids' learning activities.
When schools subscribe to ABC Mouse, their students can access it at home, and ABC Mouse helps with that. The teacher dashboard has a prewritten letter to send to kids' homes explaining how they can access the service. Alternatively, it can help with sending an email to parents and caregivers.
ABCmouse is compatible with Clever for signing in on school laptops or desktop computers.
