BYOD taking root in schools
Teaching in schools is changing.
The mobile revolution in education is becoming more of a reality in everyday use in classrooms. The latest influx of education technology is the BYOD theme, or Bring Your Own Device. This is where students are allowed to bring mobile devices (tablets or mobile phones, depending on which they’re more comfortable with) into the classroom to assist the learning process.
Another potential benefit that has been recognized is the similarity of using technology in the working environment. Learners should be encouraged to supplement their learning with technology as this is not only the future of education but the current situation in most occupational environments.
