Get your diving gear in order! Dr. Malitovich’s bacterial Ignarus have entered the digestive system and it’s up to the Yogotars to stop their meddling. Can you learn the ins and outs of digestion in time to keep food and nutrients moving along?
With Yogome, Inc. learning how the body works is easier than ever before. Science Heroes 1 - Digestive System is an interactive adventure through the twists and turns of the digestive tract. The evil Ignarus are causing trouble in the digestive system, and our game places children in the shoes of “Yogotars”, heroes who have to make sure the different phases of digestion, from the mechanical and chemical breakdown of food to the absorption and reabsorption of nutrients, are working properly. The entire digestive process is covered through intuitive activities and followed-up with comprehensive quizzes.
Motivate your child to learn about each of the body’s systems by starting with digestion! Perfect as an introduction to human biology and a great substitute for rote memorization of body parts, terms, and processes. From our educational experts:
Science Heroes 1: Digestive System gives your child a solid understanding of the most well-known bodily system. This game encourages children ages 5-8 to observe and participate in the 5 phases of digestion, and explains biological concepts in a simple, intuitive way.
Through a series of comprehension and skill-based missions, players help food progress through the digestive tract until it is absorbed as nutrients. This “tour guide” approach to the digestive tract allows children to retain a large amount of names, terms, and facts associated with body systems. Players must have a basic understanding of each phase of digestion in order to complete missions (i.e. stopping the evil Ignarus from blocking the progress of a bolus of food in the esophagus), and must follow-up each mission with an assessment quiz. Parents can track their child's progress through an easy-to-use Dashboard.
Students will be able to see the entire digestive process (mouth, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and large intestine) in order to complete comprehension-based missions.
