This free, interactive eTextbook provides comprehensive coverage of important MS-related topics, supplemented by hyperlinks to external multimedia resources such as illustrations, videos, journal articles, and other resources, that enhance understanding of relevant issues.
This eTextbook contains 10 chapters, 7 of which are available now. Chapters 1-3, containing updates for 2011, focus on MS basics, MRI and other imaging technologies, and current therapies, respectively. Chapters 4, 5, and 6, also containing updates for 2011, focus on emerging treatments and managing symptoms associated with MS. Chapter 7, newly released with brand new content, focuses on Prognostic Factors in MS.
Three additional new chapters will be released this year, covering topics such as improving immunosuppression and immunomodulation treatment strategies, neuroprotection and neuroregeneration, and alternative therapies.
